CEC’s Slovakian Director is Ivan Kubányi. Born in 1976, Ivan is an experienced public affairs professional, with a proven record in account management and knowledge of public decision-making processes in Slovak Republic. A graduate of the Faculty of Management at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, Ivan joined CEC in 1999 as Senior Consultant, designing and implementing public affairs strategies, contact building plans, image enhancement programmes and lobbying campaigns, conducting political audits and intelligence-gathering projects for a number of multinational companies, including Accor, Aero Vodochody/Boeing, NetJets, Eastern Sugar, EICTA Provident Financial, Reader’s Digest, Smiths Group, Sodexho, UPC and others.

After two years as Government Relations Manager at Philip Morris Slovakia, where he developed and implemented engagement strategies for the company over legislation and regulations related to taxation, marketing freedoms and product regulation, Ivan returned to head CEC’s operations in Slovakia as Managing Director.
